The orange tree symbolizes generosity and wisdom. It can also represent chastity and purity adn that is the reason why brides in Middle ages wore white orange tree flowers in their hair. In some sources, instead of apple tree or fig, we find an orange tree as the Tree of Knowledge, therefore in that case it represents the fall of mankind.
