Silver is representative of moon energy and is the balance between black and white. It is the color of the Greek goddess Artemis (Roman aspect: Diana). It is symbolic of purity, strength, clarity, focus, and the feminine energy. In alchemy, silver is one of the noble metals.

Feminine Energy[]

Silver is associated with the feminine energy and with the goddess Artemis, the virgin goddess of the Hunt and the moon. It symbolizes feminine intuition and inner knowledge, and is thus often associated with a higher spirituality. Its energy flows with the tides, and so is adaptable. Because of its association with water, it is also seen as cleansing.

Alchemy[]

Silver is one of the noble metals. It is strong yet malleable. It will withstand heat and time and weather, but it may still be shaped into something magnificent.

Balance[]

Black is the color of hidden things, secrets, and the unknown that can never be discovered. It is a reserved color for much that reason; it hides what it is from the world around it. Silver is seen as the elegant color, and is also often seen as mysterious. Black is also the color of power and authority. Silver is of responsibility and self-control, good qualities in a leader.

White is well-known to symbolize purity (i.e. "white knight"). It also symbolizes new beginnings. Silver adopts these traits into its purity and its cleansing properties. It is a highly reflective color, as is silver. Both reflect the energies they encounter back to where they came from. White lends its clear head to silver.

Both black and white symbolize beginnings and endings, the passage from the light to the dark, the end of one day and the start of another. This characteristic they pass on to silver.
